What Should I Bring to Closing?
Before closing, I’ll let you know exactly what you’ll need to bring.
In most cases, you’ll need:
- A valid government-issued photo ID
- The funds needed for closing (typically sent by wire transfer or cashier’s check, depending on the amount)
- Any documents we’ve requested before closing
I’ll review everything with you ahead of time so there are no surprises.
What Happens at the Closing Table?
During closing, you’ll sign the final loan documents and other paperwork required to complete the purchase of your home.
The closing agent will explain the documents, answer general questions, and make sure everything is signed correctly.
Don’t worry if it feels like a lot of paperwork—I’ll help prepare you before closing day.
When Do I Get the Keys?
In most cases, you’ll receive the keys after all documents have been signed, the loan has been funded, and the transaction has been officially recorded.
Your Realtor will let you know exactly when you’ll receive the keys based on your specific transaction.
What’s Next?
Once you’ve closed on your home, it’s time to celebrate!
You’ll begin making your monthly mortgage payments according to the schedule provided by your loan servicer, and you’ll officially begin building equity in your new home.
